Updates for the plugin marketplace, BubbleCon 2024 and a new way of creating PDFs
The plugin marketplace got a new look
If you’ve been searching for plugins on the bubble.io/plugins page recently, you may have noticed some changes. The templates page got an update earlier this year and now the plugins page has followed suit. It has a much cleaner UI, with some nice extra filters for sorting through the c.5,000 plugins that are currently available on the marketplace.
A really interesting new addition is the ‘Featured plugins’ section, which showcases some of the plugins the Bubble team have picked out. This could potentially be a great way to showcase less popular, but high quality plugins, that wouldn’t otherwise get much attention.
A new way of creating PDFs in Bubble
Cranford Tech officially launched PDF Potion this week! It’s a powerful new tool that we built to make it easy to create PDFs in Bubble. Here are some of the reasons we think PDF Potion a game-changer for PDF-generation:
Design PDFs in one page of your Bubble app and then let your users create PDFs of that page from any other page
Perfect page breaks
Create PDFs in backend workflows

New additions to the component library
The Bubble Component Library was originally launched in November-2022. Around that time, several popular chrome extensions (EG Atomic Fusion) had launched and were gaining in popularity. These chrome extensions effectively let you copy and paste great-looking components directly into your Bubble app, saving you from designing them from scratch.
The official Bubble component library was a welcome addition that promised to offer the same time-saving copy and paste functionality. However, up until this week, there was a relatively limited amount of components actually available in the library.
It was therefore very positive to see the Bubble team release 50 new components to the library this week. It will make it much easier for Bubble developers (particularly newer ones) to build great-looking apps.
BubbleCon 2024 is coming!
BubbleCon is back for a second year. Following on from the inaugural conference in New York last year, the second edition has been announced for 1-2 October 2024. You can get the scoop on all the announced details here. Bubble developers will be eagerly awaiting to see if there’s a big reveal on Mobile or AI - two areas the Bubble team have been working on since the last BubbleCon.
